Manuj Tripathi
Manuj Tripathi, the project leader, is a Principal Scientist at CSIR-Institute of Microbial Technology (IMTECH), Chandigarh which is one of India’s premier National Research Laboratories and a center of excellence in microbial sciences. With nearly two decades of experience in business development, project management, marketing, public diplomacy, media, and communication, he has successfully strengthened industry-academia interactions, built new knowledge alliances in public-private partnership mode and generated external funding for CSIR-IMTECH. At CSIR-IMTECH, he has been instrumental in crafting robust business strategies, securing external funding from industry and grant agencies, and fostering long-term collaborations.
Manuj is also an effective science communicator, known for building strategic alliances and implementing comprehensive marketing and communication plans for internal and external stakeholders to strengthen the brand architecture of the organisation. He adeptly engages with media across government and private sectors, bringing a flexible, detail-oriented approach to his work.
An innovative thinker, Manuj has a proven track record of enhancing business revenues, forging strategic partnerships, and penetrating new markets. His strategic marketing and communication initiatives have significantly strengthened the institute’s brand presence. As a DBT Welcome Trust awardee under IRMI for the 2024 Research Management Grant, Manuj through his project Advancing R&D Through CSR is spearheading efforts to raise funds via CSR initiatives, driving awareness and engagement among stakeholders. His commitment to this cause is further reflected in his role in conducting CSR awareness webinars tailored for government R&D institutions, helping them understand and leverage CSR opportunities effectively.
