Mr. Kapil Kaul

Kapil Kaul, CEO, IIT Kanpur Development Foundation, is a seasoned leader with over two decades of rich experience across higher education, non-profit and banking sectors.

He is adept in CSR, creating and implementing fundraising strategies, mass market fundraising, securing high-value philanthropic gifts, building organisations and relationships, stakeholder management, people and business development, and P&L management.

Currently, he serves on the boards of the IIT Kanpur Foundation (USA) and the US-India Science and Technology Endowment Fund. He transitioned into his role at IIT Kanpur in February 2021 after leading the vertical of Development and Relations as Vice President at IIT Bombay. His professional journey has also witnessed accomplishments with brands like HDFC Bank, ABN AMRO, Deutsche Bank, Royal Bank of Scotland, Save the Children, and the Indian Institute for Human Settlements.

He holds a management degree from the University of Mumbai and an undergraduate degree in commerce from Hindu College, Delhi University.
